HEROS offers double-decker coaches for regional transportation of the types DBuza 747 and DBuza 749 an.
The DBuza 749 coaches have a capacity of 125 2nd class seats and two multipurpose compartments and a few child seats. In the multipurpose compartments, up to 4 prams or up to 12 bicycles can typically be stored.
The DBuza 747 coaches have almost the same design, but have a WC and 120 or 121 seats plus some child seats.
The coaches have permitted top speeds of 120 km/h or 140 km/h. The boarding area is approximately 600 mm above the rail level and is therefore suitable for the requirement for low-floor boarding and platforms with a height, for example, of 550 mm above the rail level.
DBuza 747 and DBuza 749 double-decker coaches are typically used together in train compositions. They often travel in combination with DABuzfa 778 and DABuzfa 760 driving trailers. Currently, the double-decker coaches are often used with electric locomotives, less often with diesel locomotives, such as the BR218, as well.
